Economical Fishing Vacations

You don’t have to pitch a tent in the middle of nowhere to have an affordable fishing vacation. Sure, maybe you can’t afford to jet off to

Alaska and pay a guide to protect you from the bears and get you into a remote part of the river where you can fish for things you can’tafford to eat for lunch at home. But that doesn’t mean you’re relegated to a tent and a bamboo pole either. There are other options.

You can rent an RV and park in an RV park either on or close to a lake. There’s always a bait store nearby that also sells the basic

necessities like ice and drinks. Of course, in order to make this an economical vacation, you’ll want to do a little shopping before youget to the lake. You’d be surprised how good bologna tastes when you’re having an adventure.

Take the Coleman and eat the fish you catch for one meal and fry up bologna and potatoes or eggs and bacon for another meal. Grab a

lawn chair and sit outside at night listening to the crickets chirp.

If you’re with family or friends, you could play a hand or two of cards at night and tell stories. If you’ve taken a few days off alone, afteryou’ve gone in for the night is a perfect time to catch up on your reading or work on a hobby. Hopefully, you haven’t brought your laptopor your cell phone so maybe you could actually write someone a letter while you’re “roughing it”.
