Two-Family Fishing Vacations

Going on a vacation with another family can be the best time you’ve ever had, or your worst nightmare. If you are considering it, lay

down some ground rules first.

First and Foremost: If either one of the couple you are considering asking to join you on your fishing vacation exhibits controllingbehaviors, squash that idea before it leaves your tongue. Part of the fun of a vacation is in not having to stick to schedules. A control

freak is the last thing you need on your fishing vacation.

If they argue often, keep your original idea to yourself. If you already know that they argue often, it’s most likely because they’vealready done it in front of you. Don’t think that will stop because you are on vacation.

If either one of them drink heavily, you should know better than to try to go on vacation with them. People who drink heavily don’tchange their behavior for a few days to please anyone. If they drink heavily before your trip, they will drink heavily during your trip.

If any one of the four of you exhibits jealousy for no apparent reason, don’t even think about taking another couple with you. Somebody

will get jealous and your vacation, if not your friendship, will be ruined.

On the other hand, if you’ve been friends for a long time, and you believe them to be responsible, including paying for their share of foodand expenses, you may have a grand time together.

If you have children, taking a family fishing vacation together might give them the time of their lives. If they already play well togetherand like one another, then they’ll probably love a few days together.
